Word on the street is that Rove got canned for not being able to get the illegal amnesty bill pushed through. This was Bush’s main goal for his administration and it was a centerpiece for his CFR masters.
Rove had to be punished for this failure, but they wanted to wait a little while so it didn’t look too obvious. Personally, I’m glad to see the a-hole go and maybe Bush will actually start acting like a human now (although I wouldn’t count on it.)

On Bloomberg radio was said that Rove became a burden as his image is pretty negative and his usefulness is limited.

I’ve pointed here:
some of my investment principles. One of them is that I do not even try to predict major indexes like $SPX. I do not trade them, I don’t care. And I can’t predict them.
What I can predict is that REITs are going down bigtime. So I’m short REITs and some other crap. I’m long pharmaceuticals and oil.

I’m also long Treasury bonds, though I took some profit this week.
